The best accommodation option for those who’s never been to Australia is the Home stay. Home stay accommodation is a good choice for the student because the student has a direct contact with the Australian day-by-day. Not just helps to understand the Australian culture, but also to improve the vocabulary. You can choose to have breakfast and dinner included, or all the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) included. Prices for home stays vary from place to place. It goes from AUS$200 to AUS$250 per week.

BACKPACKERS

Another accommodation option is the BACKPACKERS. There are very good backpackers around Australia and you can meet people from all around the world.

The prices range from AUS$20 to AUS$35 per night, but if you have plans to stay longer, BACKPACKERS normally offer a better price for weekly or monthly payments.

Most students after spending some time in homestays or back packers decide to rent a place for themselves.

This choice gives students some more privacy, but at the same time it is more expensive, as there are some extra expenses such as electricity, phone bills, and bond (normally 4 weeks rent deposit).

The bond is given back if the accommodation is in perfect order at the end of the contract. Normally real estates will ask you to pay for professional cleaning, carpet cleaning and pest control by the end of the contract.
