QUEENSLAND

Queensland is the second biggest Australian State. It is the most visited tourist destination in Australia.
Queensland is called "the sunshine State" because of its sub tropical climate, where the temperature goes between 21 and 38 degrees Celsius in summer and it varies from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius in winter.

Brisbane is the capital and it is the third biggest city in Australia (population of about 1.5 million).

In the Southeast coast there is Gold Coast, the second most visited destination in Australia.

Cairns is located on the northeast coast of Queensland. There are tropical forests with native fauna and flora. Its beauty is just amazing. From Cairns you can have access to the Great Barrier Reef.

CAIRNS

Cairns is located on the northeast coast of Queensland. “The Great Barrier Reef” is found there. Tourists are attracted to this destination all over the year due to its sub tropical climate.

Cairns has two distinct seasons; the "dry" season (or winter) from May to October with temperatures ranging from 18-28 degrees Celsius. During this period you can expect beautiful sunny days and balmy nights. The tropical summer, or "the wet" season extends from November to April with temperatures ranging from 23-31 degrees Celsius. The months with most rain and stormy weather are December and January.

You will find the most beautiful beaches up north, going towards Port Douglas. It is always a good idea to get information before going for a swim as there is a possibility of finding salt water crocodiles in this area.

Once in Cairns, you must go to Kuranda by train. It is a facinating adventure and the views are breath taking. In Kuranda you will see the amazing Aborigene Market.
